What is the future of mobile devices in healthcare?

Your mobile phone is the door to good health. The future is bright with opportunities to make a difference to each person. Apps will transform how people eat, exercise, sleep, de-stress, and carry out all their day-to-day activities. You’ll be able to order medicines, look up your health history, interact with health professionals via chat, video, etc., and take care of your health minute by minute. You won’t have to wait to see the doctor, one will take your call and give you advice on the fly. Many things are possible and we haven’t even scratched the surface yet.

How Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing the mobile health industry?

AI is very good at certain things like analyzing a lot of data or images and coming up with various alternative conclusions. Sometimes they can (with a lot of training) get very specific in limited areas. Again, we are only scratching the surface, as we train more and more, AI will be able to do a lot more. Tweak & Eat is training and using AI to help nutritionists do a better job of giving advice and information, and as we keep doing this, we will get very good at it.

How mHealth, wearables and IoT will create the clinical trials of the future?

All these will make possible much more real-time and continuous tracking of various body parameters that are relevant to clinical studies. We will learn a lot more about how the body responds to the study drug, monitor side effects more effectively, and even intervene in case of adverse events. It will make it all much more effective and efficient.

How Big Data and mHealth will bring value to patient?

A lot more in-depth, continuous and real-time analysis that can drive much more effective interventions, as well as the ability to evaluate adherence (or patient compliance) efficiently, so health professionals can see in real-time whether and what difference they are making to each of their patients.
