Different Machine Learning Algorithms Impacting The Social Media

In Columns, Technology

In the new era, social media has a very consequential influence on our lives, it’s a part of our daily routine. The first thing most of us do after waking up in the morning is to check for new social media notifications. It has been so much involved in our lives that living without social media has turned nearly impossible for us. Social media facilitates us to share the information, photos, ideas, opinion, etc with others.

These are interactive Web 2.0 Internet-based application, it allows users to create their own profile with all kinds of specifications according to the user’s choice. The user can connect with anyone through their profiles, these social networking websites has bridged the gap between the people. People can digitally interact with each other with just a click. The connectivity with people has eased and it has all been possible due to various machine learning mechanisms like supervised machine learning algorithms, unsupervised machine learning algorithms, reinforced machine learning algorithms. All these algorithms have made it possible to access the social networking site.

Machine Learning Applications

Social Media Data Tracking

Machine learning algorithms are used to automatically detect the pattern and find the relevant information. It is possible because ML can be coded to determine patterns. It is very beneficial for big companies because many times it happens that people often forget to tag the brand or the person related to the brand which could be otherwise essential in the media promotion of the company. With machine learning algorithms it is now possible to automatically detect the brand or recognize the person and get a notification about the same.

Efficient Data Processing

With so much development the data production has also been increased, unlike the past days where data was only generated from spreadsheets and databases. Today data is generated from various platforms like email, photo, video, PDF, audio, SMS, and many more. Data shows that the number of devices connected to the Internet will increase from 15.4 billion in 2015 to 75 billion by 2025. Therefore there is a requirement to have a manner that could effectively manage these data along with big data analytics. The machine learning algorithm is capable of bringing transformation and automating data processing.
