With technological advancement and digitization, education industry is increasing at a fast pace. Education is changing dynamically with more and more privatization of this sector specially in India.

Education sector in India

From a data Fifty percent of India’s population is the youth. This means that the Indian education sector is huge with a population of 1.13 billion. India has around 367 universities, 18,000 colleges, about half a million teachers, and 11 million pupils. The private education industry is estimated to be between 20,000–25,000 crores. There are about 1,500 management institutes, 3,500 engineering institutes, and 1,200 medical colleges in the country.

Quality of education in India

According to the Legatum Prosperity Index 2015, India ranks 99 among 142 countries that have been assessed in these sectors. The backbone of our nation, the quality of education need to be enhanced also it must concern that it is within reach of maximum.

Education affordability

The affordability of education to wider section will provide helping hand to economic growth of our country. Being a nation of youths, more and more people want to go for higher studies but due to financial issues education is not within the reach of every one. We need to make education available broadly to everyone on a very nominal or zero cost if possible.

Artificial intelligence and education

Artificial intelligence is the art of combining human intelligence with machine learning. When artificial intelligence is combined with education it is called e -learning.

Grading automation

Too much time of educators are spent on checking the copies, journals of students. In today’s time automated grading of only multiple choices questions are done but with future advancements in technology, better grading options can be developed.

Content enhancer

With the help of AI the content can be digitized which will lead to increased overall understanding of the subject matter. Student can relate more to the topic and near practical experience can be achieved, which will in turn lead to overall academic success.

Helpful for differently abled

AI in education will help a lot of differently abled people in various ways. Their abilities could be modified and could provide them equal opportunity on the ground of education.

Provide 24×7 education at home

One of the major benefits of combining AI with education is that its affordability will widen. It will be in reach to almost every individual with internet access at a very minimal rate. Still there are some regions in India where girl child are not allowed to take education. With the help of artificial intelligence, education will reach to almost everyone.

Therefore it is very necessary to combine AI with education so that path for education can be paved.
